IMPACTO: Update on Immer
UPDATE ON IMMER: Immer was back to the doctor on Wednesday. The results from all his tests were in. Immer's stomach and esophagus have multiple ulcers, his stomach has some small holes in the lining, and he has the e-coli bacteria. The doctor said that things are worse than he had hoped but at this point the best news is that there is no cancer. He did caution that the possibility for cancer to develop is very prominent. Immer has been put on a very strong antibiotic and some other medications. He will have to go back for 5 or 6 more visits and at some point, more tests. I think that the total for Immer's doctor visits and medications will be somewhere around $1,500 USD. Immer's medications are very expensive but totally necessary. If you would like to help Immer with these costs, please feel free to send donations to Impacto (address below) and we will give them all to Immer (be sure to write IMMER on the memo line of your check). He is, of course, really concerned about how he will pay for these medical expenses. I have assured Immer that we will do everything that we can to help and have told him that he must get the medicines and continue to see the doctor. Impacto received $300 yesterday towards helping Immer. We praise God for this and we all know that God will provide and take care of Immer's needs. Please continue to keep Immer and his family lifted in your prayers. We will keep you updated on his progress.
