IMPACTO: June 13, 2011 Update
Greetings to All!
Hope this finds everyone doing well. The last of the team from 12Stone Church departed last Friday and the young lady who had to have surgery was doing well. Thank you again for all the prayer lifted for those who were sick on that team.
Last week a team from Tuscaloosa, AL, spent the week working really hard on different projects at Iglesia Adonai, The People's Church, and even a one-day trip to do work on a special project at San Juan Church! We're hoping to get some photographs to post sometime this week! Thanks to the team for doing so much and for touching so many lives!
A team from South Carolina arrives Wednesday and they have a full week of work planned, too. We are looking forward to ministering with them.
Update on Antonio Mendez: Antonio has been on strick bed-rest for the past two weeks, since leaving the hospital. He went back this past Friday to get information on when his surgery would be scheduled and exactly what it will be. Saturday he had to go in for some more tests and Tony took him. He was not able to do a breathing test because he was too weak to blow in the tube and make it register. He has to get a dental exam and find 6 blood donors and then they will actually schedule his surgery. He needs four by-passes. The hospital will tell him how much it is going to cost when he gives them the results from his dental exam and the names of the blood donors. Tony said his dad is really weak. Antonio gets sick when he even raises his head, he cannot hold Luis Daniel, and he is beginning to have difficulty communicating. We are praying so hard that the hospital will. this week, schedule the surgery. Not having the funds upfront to pay for everything slows the process down. Please continue to pray with us for Antonio and the entire family. He asked me to relay to you that he is so thankful for every prayer that has been lifted on his behalf. It has been very encouraging to him to hear that people he's met while working with Impacto are praying for him.
Serving Christ with you,
The Entire Impacto Staff
