IMPACTO: Update on Antonio and Bradley July 27
We believe in the power of prayer so please keep prayers lifted for Antonio and Brad.
Antonio woke up on his own today. He also is breathing on his own. The doctors allowed Tony to go in to see his dad. Antonio asked him to take him home because he was in so much pain. Tony asked him to just wait 24 more hours and it would get better and Antonio said okay. He is still in critical but stable condition, still in ICU, but each hour is a victory. Please continue to keep Antonio and the Mendez family lifted in prayer.
Brad also is showing signs of improvement. The malaria medicine is working and he seems to be making positive strides. He is talking some but still really disconnected and exhausted. The doctors say to expect a full recovery and believe they can kill the parasite so Brad doesn't have to deal with it forever; they believe it is curable. He is still not allowed visitors but hopefully tomorrow he will be even more aware. His organs look good and his MRI came back showing no damage to the brain. Please keep Brad, his family, and his church family lifted in your prayers.
This is all very encouraging news and we give all praise and glory to God!
